Teachers Day- special

In the maze of life, we sometimes go astray from the right path. Parents show us the ray of light so that the right path gets illuminated and we can walk without trembling and reeling. Parent’s attachment and affection towards us don’t have any comparison on earth. Their hands are always prepared to help us; either to hug, hold, console, or to pray for us. We are always grateful to them for selflessly investing all they have for us. Praying for them is also Ibaadat and not less than adoration.

However, there are other influencers also in our life, whose guidance doesn’t illuminate the path promptly. They don’t give all the lessons overnight. They want us to face the hardships. They don’t pull us from the ordeal; on the contrary, they push us into it. And when we successfully complete one trial they don’t react excitingly. We presume that; Ustad will hail us and pat our back, but what we receive, is getting ready to face the next assignment. Sometimes we feel that they don’t have any sympathy for us, and they are hard-hearted or cold-blooded.

Although, in real life when we start our journey alone, keeping aside the comfort of our parent’s crib, leaping the safe fencing created by our kinship, we realize the significance of their training. We pray and thank them for nurturing the true trait of embracing the practical world.

The person who gave us a meaningful lesson in the above manner explained or in any other manner are our teachers! They have so many names, teacher, mentor, coach, guide, leader, fighter, guru,  instructor, etc.

They are the epitome of success for us, the one unique quality they possess which is not evident in any other individual is, they become ecstatic when we perform better than them. In this material world if a person acquires anything beyond his colleague or a friend he is envied for his possession. Real teachers are pleased by their students’ success.

  • What stature did society give to our teachers?

The respect they deserve is not comparable to anyone. Eklavya believed Dronacharya his true Guru, although, Dronacharya never personally taught him archery. Eklavya mastered the art of archery from the effigy of Dronacharya. But when Dronacharya asked Eklavya his reward, as a guru; to cut his thumb and give it to him, Eklavya without hesitating submitted to his will.

Teachers don’t ask for this level of reward, they only expect respect. Because of people’s ignorance, they don’t value the teachers. Those who bow before their teacher will never commit or partake in any immoral deeds which can destroy mankind. I have heard about the parents rebuking teachers at school to show their influential power. People are still not ready to pay the pandemic dues while we see them expending recklessly on unwanted things. Although there are parents who are facing financial crisis but are convinced to pay the school fees.

When a teacher enters the class it’s a duty of a student to stand for his respect. I think no other profession has this trait. I have seen many top achievers who don’t forget their school teachers. They don’t just impart knowledge or don’t just have mastery of the subject. The beauty lies in their inculcation of human values. The seeds of good ethics and morals are always remembered as they always yield good fruits.  The seeds are sowed by them but it remains unidentified unless students implement them in their real life.

The Surat al Rahman starts with a splendid explanation about explaining who is the real teacher. Allah Ta’ala states: الرحمن علم القراْن خلق الانسان علمه البيان  Al Raham Allah has taught the Quran. So, He’s the pedagogue, He’s the real tutor.

According to this notion, a teacher enters into the divine act. Teaching is Allah’s lofty attribute and He has bestowed and graciously blessed his creature to carry out His act. First teachers should realize their stature and students should give respect to this status.

History clearly shows that teachers are ridiculed and humiliated as Chanakya was treated but he himself established the kingdom by grooming Chandragupta. Teachers don’t have worldly treasures; they only have the treasure of knowledge. People don’t value them as they are mostly witnessed in a cluttered and untidy manner. They hibernate themselves till they get the right person in whom they see the spark of acceptance.

In the end, let’s pray for all those who cultivated good ethics in us that may Allah give them strength and power to ignore our ill-treatment and reward them in this world and hereafter.

I take this opportunity to show my gratitude towards one of my mentors who held me during my initial days when I started to memorize al Quran al Kareem, and throughout my journey, he was beside me supporting and motivating me on each and every step.

I still remember his cheerful and remarkable words during Maqraat al Quran al Kareem. He’s one of the most eminent personalities in this field.  May Allah fulfill all his wishes and give him lofty heights in his achievements. He doesn’t require any more introduction, Janab al Mohtaram Sk Murtaza bhai Qaari.

One more life-changing incident happened in my life when I was deciding to quit my studies but one of al Jameas Ustad called me from the front and by his exceptional counseling ability he once again successfully lifted my spirit. I am grateful to him as well. Janab al Mohtaram Sk Mustafa bhai Rasheed.

Also, would like to extend my gratefulness towards all my Asateza kiraam, and pray for their good health and prosperous life.

In the end, it’s obligatory to show our gratitude towards our beloved Aqa Maula TUS because of his bounties and blessings we receive what we receive. As al Quran al Kareem states: وَمَا بِكُم مِّن نِّعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ اللَّـهِ and whatever you have of favor-is from Allah. He’s the divine and supreme preceptor.

May Allah grant our Aqa Maula TUS a healthy and prosperous long life till the day of Qayamat. Ameen.
