In a world where fewer people care for others or themselves, Maula TUS is seen always caring for me, my family, and my near and dear ones. I have seen this particular glory of Aqa Maula TUS in his every diminutive and giant endeavor. In today’s world, where individuals are focused on their own pursuits and neglect their loved ones for whom they need to seek sustenance, Maula TUS is the only individual who always comes out as the true caretaker for the benefit of mankind. May Allah grant me the power to realize how carefully he is regulating and administrating our community and others. If my eyes can’t see that then nothing can help me in this world to refrain from anything which is toxic for me and my family. Maula TUS has single-handedly taken the initiative to counsel every single person by himself.
Recently, it has come to light that Maula TUS has not attended any congregations of mumeneen but has explained the harmful effects of consuming e-cigarettes. Generally, people use to keep this issue under wraps and avoid discussing it. Addressing this issue requires the utmost courage and grit. His zero tolerance in this regard astonishes me more than anything else. His affection towards mumeneen is always evident in his every endeavor.
Throughout history, or more specifically, within a span of a few decades, there came a time when people knowingly or unknowingly started practicing a deed that is toxic to mind and body. Which is sometimes promoted in a manner where counterfeit and unreal are showcased as real and original. The same happened during the commencement of 15th-century Hijri. The “INTEREST” was manifested as a permissible practice as per Islamic tenants. But when it started to spread rapidly, the vicegerent of Imam al-Zaman AS immediately came into action and courageously barred mumeneen from its practice. The same scenario is repeating now. As it is said, “History repeats itself”. E-cigarettes are pretended or bluffed as new fancy consumables which are permissible by Islam. The young and naïve minds are targeted by this bluff. Moreover, it is marketed as a substitute for those trying to quit smoking. When consuming e-cigarettes started to spread rapidly, we saw how Maula TUS advised us to refrain from it in no time. I realized that the current time was the best time to explicitly explain about its harm and make people understand that it’s illicit to consume e-cigarettes in Islam. Also, it seems the right period to make people aware of the negative consequences of consuming it.
The current era is known as the advanced era where I feel we are becoming more conservative rather than more open and ready to change. The change in technology is advancing with the passing of every single day, but human values are decreasing subsequently. Here comes the matter of values. I think a person who is indulged in these types of bad habits doesn’t have the values of life. I rarely encounter individuals who consume e-cigarettes and uphold high moral values in life. A person, if performing anything in life which is not allowed by his Nation or by his religion is not a person who respects human values.
The alphabet “e” when get associated with any noun or adjective fascinates immature minds. These fancy cigarettes also known as e-cigarettes (with the addition of e in the prefix) contain nicotine and other harmful substances, which causes various health problems. As the virus mutates to dodge the danger that challenges its existence, likewise people having toxic intentions mutate.
Some of the harmful effects of e-cigarettes include:
1. Addiction: E-cigarettes contain nicotine, which is highly addictive.
2. Respiratory problems: Inhaling the vapor produced by e-cigarettes can cause respiratory issues such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
3. Heart problems: Nicotine in e-cigarettes can increase heart rate and blood pressure, increasing the risk of heart disease.
4. Birth defects and harm to fetuses: Pregnant women who use e-cigarettes risk harm to their fetuses, including birth defects.
5. Poisoning: E-cigarette liquids can be toxic if swallowed or applied to the skin.
6. Youth nicotine exposure: E-cigarettes are marketed to and often used by youth, increasing the risk of nicotine addiction and other health problems.
In conclusion, e-cigarettes are not safe and can cause various harmful health effects. This is what science has discovered till now, and it is totally true in each and every sense. What we need to understand now is the time is not for thinking, waiting, or pondering, but for taking immediate action. It’s time to act. The current time as expounded by Maula TUS is time to implement a war footing situation. As we are aware, a person who has indulged in this habit can’t quit unless he will implement the action as mentioned by Maula TUS. Also, if a person is on the brink of indulging in these practices should immediately distance himself before it’s too late for him. Or, if we find anyone trying to make people habitual of it, we should restrict him from doing so.
